Shane Harrod
Network Support Manager
Shane had an interest in computers at a very young age. At the age of four he received a Commodore 64 that caught his attention and sparked an interest in computer technology that never let go. As Shane grew older, his grandfather would give him retired company computers for him to tinker with. This gave Shane a working knowledge of MS-DOS and hardware before he was a teenager. As he grew older, his enthusiasm for technology and computers developed into opportunities at his school where he volunteered time to help fix computer problems and increase his working computer knowledge.
As Shane entered into High School, relationships that he had developed gave him an opportunity to work on grant proposals with his school Board of Education and teachers. This resulted in a grant that brought a T-1 connection and the networking of four of the school's buildings. It also brought computer technology into the classroom that was not widely utilized at the time.
As Shane finished high school, he found an opportunity to get his feet wet in a professional capacity by working for a local internet service provider. Here, Shane gained experience with troubleshooting problems over the phone and gained a greater understanding of network technology.
Shane moved to Louisville after graduating from high school to attend Sullivan University. While attending Sullivan, he obtained a position with another local internet service provider and gained work experience dealing with high-speed internet connections and completed an Associates of Science in Information Technology. During his time at Sullivan, he met Richard Fox who taught his Microsoft Courses. This relationship developed into some job opportunities working for Richard that resulted in a position with our helpdesk. He was the first member of RFX's helpdesk and over the years he helped develop the helpdesk using Microsoft CRM. Shane has currently moved to the position of Network Support Manager.
Shane was wed in July, 2006 to his lovely wife Erica. In his free time, Shane is actively involved with his local church and has recently completed his Bachelor’s degree at Campbellsville University. Shane looks forward to seeing the company continue to grow and provide excellent service for its customers.
