HTML Developer

The bulk of the effort involves HTML and Javascript. However, it is essential that the applicant understands that exceptional skills are required in both areas. The applicant must be able to review a Photoshop mockup, plan an optimal way to reproduce it in HTML and Javascript, and execute that plan. The code must not only be error-free but optimized for speed and maintenance.

Applicants are to develop the code using HomeSite and Photoshop. Knowledge of advanced web design tools such as Flash and other multimedia tools will be a plus.

Because of the unique nature of work, applicant must have skills different than those required for most IT support work. Successful candidate should possess the following abilities:

• Excellent HTML skills (to be able to precisely reproduce designer's artwork in HTML; create streamlined, browser-compatible, easy-to-maintain code; to know CSS in-depth),
• Excellent Photoshop skills (to be able to interpret Photoshop file for details on colors, fonts and measurements),
• Excellent Javascript skills (to be able to use JavaScript proficiently, create reusable, browser-compatible code),
• Commitment to standards and accuracy (thorough knowledge of industry coding standards, keen attention to detail -- no typos, misalignment, etc.)
• Flash experience is desirable. All projects require user-interface expertise, no application development background needed.
• Ability to submit final site code, files, etc. in TeamSite.
• Effective communication and ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment.
